Hilary Coate
Head of Production
Hilary Coate is a creative production leader who brings ideas to life through collaboration, craft, and innovation.
She has spent her career at some of the world’s most influential creative agencies, including TBWA\Chiat\Day, Goodby Silverstein & Partners, and Venables Bell & Partners, where she served as Director of Production and led the evolution of Taproom, the agency’s in-house content studio. There, she reimagined how integrated production could operate by uniting creative, digital, experiential, and post teams to deliver work that was faster, smarter, and more imaginative.
Most recently, Hilary has produced for Apple, leading production on two global iPhone campaigns and serving as Managing Producer for the Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show featuring Kendrick Lamar, the most-watched halftime performance in history.
She is deeply interested in how new creative technologies and AI are transforming the way we work, collaborate, and tell stories, and is passionate about building teams and processes that balance human creativity with innovation.
Her work has been recognized at Cannes Lions, The One Show, D&AD, AICP, and the Effies, among others. She is known throughout the industry for her honesty, creative partnership, and ability to bring out the best in every collaboration.
Beyond advertising, Hilary’s love of storytelling extends to independent film. She produced the award-winning feature documentary A Worm in the Heart (now streaming on Amazon and Apple+) and the Cannes-featured short Dunkumentary.
Hilary lives in Orinda, California, with her husband (also an executive producer), and a very loved Goldendoodle named Ruby. When she is not on set or in the studio, she can usually be found cooking, traveling, or on a yoga mat.
